  2.               Release Note for EDITH 1.0 of 7th April 1993

  5.    EDITH 1.0 is the shareware prerelease of  a  commercial  text  editor
  6.    package we've been working  on  for  almost  two  years,  which  will
  7.    hopefully be presented at the Messe in the fall of 1993. This version
  8.    doesn't have half the amount of features that the  commercial  'Edith
  9.    Professional' will have, but should give you a  rough  impression  of
  10.    what it is going to be  like.  We  would  appreciate  your  comments,
  11.    suggestions, bug reports etcetera. There will be no updates  of  this
  12.    version. The shareware fee of 25 DM (15 US$) will be paid back if you
  13.    buy the commercial 'Edith Professional' at the end of this  year.  If
  14.    you are interested in   Edith   and   wish   to   stimulate   further
  15.    development, DO PAY your shareware fee NOW! We need your support.

  17.    So far, we'd like to thank all beta testers (who of course  need  not
  18.    to pay the fee, but should throw away beta versions).  If  you  would
  19.    like to become a beta tester for the 'professional' series,  drop  us
  20.    an electronic note (you'll need to convince  us  of  your  particular
  21.    qualities as a beta tester):

  27.    EDITH 1.0  IS  SHAREWARE!  She  may  be  freely  distributed  through
  28.    non-commercial  channels,  provided  that  all  six  files  are  kept
  29.    together. If you decide to use Edith on a regular basis, you must pay
  30.    the shareware fee:
